FROM LOCUST HILL.
Catherine Bitler died at the home of her son I. J. Bitler, near Locust Hill, Thursday, July 15th, 1897, aged 87 years, 9 months and 12 days. Funeral services at the M. E. church in Locust Hill, conducted by Rev. John Boon. A large number of sympathizing friends were present to attest the estimation in which the deceased was held. After services the funeral procession followed the remains to Novelty cemetery, where the body was laid beside that of her husband who had preceded her many years before. The subject of this sketch was for many years a member of the M. E. church at Locust Hill where the example of her christian life had long borne rich fruit.
