Harry Irving Balentyne Jr., 89 ROCKFORD - Harry Irving Balentyne Jr., 89, of Rockford passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, in P. A. Peterson. Born May 23, 1921, in Belvidere, the son of Harry and Lydia (Dralle) Balentyne. Married Maxine Duffy on Nov. 25, 1950, in Belvidere; she died Nov. 14, 1994. Married Sonia Anderson Droy on Jan. 20, 2001, in Lake Geneva, Wis. Retired from Woodward Governor Co. after 42 years. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, 100th Infantry Division in Europe. Member Holy Family Catholic Church, Industrial Management Association, YMCA Retired Men's Club, Knights of Columbus, Roscoe Sportsman's Club, Holy Family Collection Counters, Allen Chapel soup kitchen volunteers and VFW.
