Word of the death of Franklin B. Barrick, a former resident of WIlliamsburg, Blair County, at the home of his sister, Mrs. W.T. Wikon, of Oakland, Calif., yesterday morning at 7 a.m., was received by relatives in this city, late yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Barrick was the eldest son of the late Dr. Samuel D., and Susan Harbaugh Barrick of Sabillasville, Md. Following the death of his father, he with his mother, younger brother
and sisters moved to Williamsburg, where for some time he resided on Cedar Brook farm owned by J.D. Hicks and the heirs of Anna Sharr Hicks.

Later Mr. Barrick moved to the state of Oregon, where he owned timber and mineral lands. He was the brother of the late Mrs. Josiah D. Hicks of Altoona, and is survived by one brother and sister, Rush G. Barrick, of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. W. T. Nilson of California, an unmarried sister, Miss Minnie, of Altoona and Pittsburg is also deceased.

The following nieces and nephews also survive; Cam Eynon, and Charles B. Hicks, of Altoona; Paul, Oyer, and Granville Nilson, of Oakland, Calif.; one grandniece, Frances Elizabeth Hicks, of Altoona and a step niece, and nephew, Mrs. Hattie Hicks Estep, of Williamsburg and W. B. Hicks of Altoona. Other Blair county relatives are the Jones Bell family of Tyrone. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Nilson at Oakland, tomorrow.
