She was born to Clifford Earl and Pauline Savage Caldwell. On Feb. 7, 1966, she married John Wesley Arrington. On Oct. 21, 1980, she married Carroll Earnest Lemons. Betty Lemons was an employee of Gainesville Memorial Hospital since 1968, retiring in 2000.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, 2 step-sons and their wifes, seven grandchildren, 3 brothers and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carolyn Smith, Shirley Mayfield, and Jean McDaniels; brothers, Pat, Bud and Milton Caldwell; by her husbands, John Wesley Arrington in August 1979, and Carroll Earnest Lemons in September 1984.
