Sarah Jane Hyskill was a daughter of George Hyskill and Eve Gray, who were among the very earliest settlers of Clarion County (abt 1822). She married Jacob Weiser Kahl in 1818 at Warriors Mark Twp., Huntingdon County, PA. Her place of burial is the Methodist Church Cemetery at Shippenville, Clarion County, PA.
Her name is often misspelled by family tree collectors as Sarah Hyskell Kahle and Sarah Hyskill Kahle. The name changed through the generations, however, this couple went by KAHL.

Note that the photograph of Sarah at right is cropped from a copy of the original given to me by a great-Uncle by the name of Don Kahle. With Uncle Don's consent, I contributed the photograph for publication in the two-volume books called "Weiser Families in America," edited by Frederick S. Weiser and published in about 1995 and it has since been making the rounds on various internet sites. Uncle Don would be happy to know that many people are enjoying the effort he made to preserve this photograph. If you use this photograph, it sure would be nice if you cite where you found it by referring to this webpage, so Great Uncle Don's and his wife, Pauline's contribution to the preservation of family history may be remembered. If it wasn't for them, no one would have the photo of Sarah and Jacob Kahl.
