He was born June 8, 1952 in Lima, the son of Wilbur and Hazel (Fortman) Schneider. On May 1, 1982 he married
Cris Smith and she survives.
Other survivors include four children, Anita (Michael) Poor, Calvin D., Sam and Kate, all of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Serrena, Sara and Conner Poor; four brothers, Jeffrey (Caarolyn) Schneider and Christhomas (Gaylen) Schneider, both of Wapakoneta, John (Debra) Schneider of Marietta, Ga. and Bill Schneider of Cridersville; and a sister Cathy (Ralph) Hellman of Fr. Jennings. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur A. Schneider.
Mr. Schneider had owned and operated Schneicer Sings and Schneider National Sign Corp., both of Wapakoneta and Sign Pro of Sidney. He was a member of Only Believe Ministries, Botkins, where he was very active in mission work and International Churches. He had served in the National Guard and was a 1970 graduate of Wapakoneta High School.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Only Believe Ministries with the Rev. Peter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joh Cemetery, Fryburg.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bayliff and Elley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta and one hour prior to sevices Wednesday in the church.
Memorials may be directed to the Only Believe Ministries Mission Fund.
