Mrs. Fegan was a passenger in the automobile of her nephew, Leo Fegan of East Washington street, as were also Mr. Fegan's daughter, Mary, George Eckenrode of Edenville and Auctioneer Paul B. Wenger of R. R. 6. They were returning from Amberson, where they attended the sale of William Culbertson, Mr. Wenger having had charge of the sale. As they neared the intersection of the Orrstown-Pleasant Hall roads, Mr. Fegan thought he was at the intersection and made a turn, running his car, a Pontiac sedan, into a sign post. She was hurt internally and was unconscious for several hours, rallying for only a short time, during which she was able to talk to members of her family.
Mrs. Fegan was aged 69 years, two months and 16 days and was a member of the Catholic Church. She resided at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. L. Andrews of R.R. 6. Besides Mrs. Andrews she is survived by these children, David of Earlham, Iowa, Charles of Birchwood, Wisconsin, Lewis of Galesburg, Illinois, Paul and Arthur of Polo, Illinois, Mrs. Ross Smoker of Lancaster, Joseph of R. R. 1, Leo of R. R. 7, one sister, Mrs. Bertha Shoemaker of New Jersey, one brother, William Piper of R. R. 8.
