Belden - James Marion Richey, 72 died Tuesday at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Union County. He was a furniture manufacturer, a member of Endville Baptist Church, a Mason and a Scottish Rite.
Services were held Wednesday at Endville Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Caples and the Rev. G.L. Ford officiating. Burial was in Endville Cemetery. McGrath-Rasberry Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Robbins Richey of Endville; two sons, James Edward Richey of Tupelo and Robert Carroll "Bobby" Richey of Mooreville; one daughter, Kathy Hammack of Canton; his mother, Bertha Rakestraw Richey of the Auburn community; four brothers, Hermon Richey of New Albany, Joe Richey of
Tupelo, Thomas Richey of Fort Worth, Texas, and Willis Richey of the Auburn community; four sisters, Mary Elder of New Albany, Virgie Potter and Bessie Donnahoo, both of Fort Worth, and Bonnie Dunlap of Tucson, Arizona; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Clayton, James Edward "Eddie" Richey, James Norman "Jimmy" Richey, Sean Richey, David Richey and Michael Atherton.
