89th yearA John Potts passed away suddenly at Welland General Hospital on Sunday, July 4, 2010, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Hazel (Disher) Potts. Dear father of Brenda Potts and father-in-law of Pat. Loving grandfather of Michele. Dear brother of Barbara Kozma. Step-father of Howard (Gail) Disher, Beverley (Don) Forbes and John (Holly) Walton. Lovingly remembered by seven step-grandchildren and twelve great step- grandchildren. Predeceased by two wives Lois and Patricia, son William, sister Mary and step-granddaughter Pam Mater. John was a veteran of W.W. II serving with the Royal Canadian Navy as a steward seaman gunner. He was employed at Canada Post for several years. Friends will be received at the BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Wainfleet Brethren In Christ Church on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Interment Queen's Lawn Cemetery Grimsby.
