Mary Alice Proffitt Whaley was the daughter of Calloway and Palestine Whaley Proffitt. She was survived by husband, William Lonzo Whaley of Kodak; son, Ben Whaley of Dandridge; daughters, Blanch Holbert of Dandridge, Edna Lowe of Sevierville, Cecil Romines of Kodak, Lois Hoskins, Zora Wallace, Lora Latham and Hazel Smith all of Knoxville; brothers, Lee Proffitt and Marion Proffitt of Sevierville; sisters, Lela Detwiller, Lena Reagan and Lillie Parton of Sevierville.
