OCEAN CITY--Levin J. Bunting, Jr., 66, died in his home here yesterday after a long illness. He was a retired member of the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ocean City, Sinepuxent Post No. 66 of Ocean City, Evergreen Lodge AF & AM, Berlin, a 32nd Degree Mason, and a member of Holly Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.

Mr. Bunting was the recipient of the Gold Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery during his term of duty.

He was the husband of Mrs. Anna G. Bunting of Ocean City and son of the late Levin J. and Mary Short Bunting of here.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Fred K. and William T. Bunting of Ocean City, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildre; two brothers, Harry and Joshua Bunting of here, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wyatt and Miss Hattie Bunting, both of Philadelphia.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Burbage Funeral Home by the Rev. Marion Topham of Berlin. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery
