Grace was the eleventh of 13 children of Frank Wasser and his wife Mary S., whose maiden name is unknown. Grace grew up in Lower Saucon Twp. and lived in Bethlehem, Northampton Co., as a young adult.

She worked as a bookkeeper in the steel works before her marriage.

Grace was the wife of Harvey Shoudt. The couple moved around for work, living in Reading, Berks Co. and Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., both in Pennsylvania, and moving to Richmond, Virginia a year before her death.

She was a member of the fourth Reformed Church in Harrisburg.

Soon after Grace passed away, Harvey moved to Ohio and then to Michigan.

Mrs. Grace Susan Wasser Shoudt, 44 years old, wife of Harry [sic.] Shoudt, died this morning at Richmond, Va., where she had resided for one year. She previously lived at Harrisburg.
Mrs. Shaudt[sic.] was born Dec. 11, 1899, in Lower Saucon Township. She was a member of the Fourth Reformed Church, Harrisburg and of William Parsons Chapter No. 185, Order of Eastern Star, of this city.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Frank Wasser, of Wilson Borough; five sisters, Mrs. Luther Crouse, Riegelsville, Pa.; Mrs. J. M. Judd and Mrs. Floyd Brader, Hellertown; Mrs. Henry Hahn, of Dover, N. J. and Mrs. Herbert C. Schoen, of 1532 Lehigh street, Wilson; Forrest F. Wasser, Columbia S. C.; James C. Wasser, Philadelphia; Lucius P. Wasser, Reading; Russell O. Wasser, Binghamton, N. Y.
The body will be brought here for funeral services and interment.

Funeral of Mrs. Shoudt
The funeral of Mrs. Grace Susan Wasser Shoudt, wife of Harvey Shoudt, who died on Saturday in a hospital at Richmond, Va., was held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bender Funeral Home, Lehigh street at Tenth, this city. The Rev. A. M. Billman, pastor of the Fourth Evangelical Reformed Church, Har- [difficult to read] conducted the services and [difficult to read] Easton Heights Cemetery. The following nephews acted as pallbearers: Kenneth and Willard Hahn, Lester Crouse, Paul Wasser, Stanley Brader and Raymond Judd.
