Per Kaufman Herald Obit:

Mary Rose Johnson was born in Kaufman, Texas on Oct. 29, 1925 to Wilson and Olga Sherbit Gardner. Mary passed away in Kaufman on Dec. 6, 2009.

She was raised in Kaufman and later moved to Dallas in the mid 1940's. She then moved back to Kaufman in 2001. Mary was a member of the White Rock Church of CHrist in Dallas. On Nov. 10, 1948 Mary married Walter Bishop JOhnson in Terrell.

Mary is survived by her husband Walter of Kaufman, son: Byron Johnson and his wife Cheryl of Post Oak Bend, daughter: Carolyn Fultz of Mesquite, brothers: Gerald Gardner of Tyeler and Roy Gene Gardner of Post Oak Bend, grandchildren: Sara Clark, Jamie Stephen, Jonathan Fultz and Will Johnson.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home with interment following in Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Ola. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parker-Ashworth FUneral HOme of Kaufman.
