Fletcher Todd enlisted in the Armed Services on May 16, 1943. He was wounded in France on September 14, 1944 and died in Southern Italy on September 29, 1944. He received the Purple Heart and Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Todd was a sharpshooter and a member of the National Guards. Mr. Todd is a graduate of Athens High School.
Military Services were conducted by Chaplain Tingley, Interment was in Limestone Cemetery. His mother Eva Grubbs Todd proceeded him in death.
Survivors are two brothers, Fred Todd of Athens, Alabama and Frank Todd of Prospect, TN, one sister Mrs. Riley Miller of Athens, two half sisters Mrs. Ralph Jones and Bobbie Jean Todd of Athens, Alabama, and one half brother Luke Todd of Athens, Alabama, Grandmother Mrs. Nannie Grubbs of Athens.
