Abraham Adams, 72, passed away in St. Mary's Hospital in Ladysmith on Sept. 13, following a long illness. he was born in White Plains, NY, on March 5, 1877. At an early age he moved to Peterson, Iowa, where he attended schools and finished his education in that community. In 1904 he was married to Henrietta Zanter of Bridgewood, SD. Twenty-six years ago they came to Sawyer County and purchased a farm at Ojibwa, where he had since made his home. Mr. Adams was a great leader in the promotion of 4-H work in this country.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Mable DeDominices of Superior, WI, and Mrs. Mary Dufty of Hayward; five sons, Clifford, George and Walter, all of Ojibwa, Howard of Freeman, SD, and S/Sgt. John, who is now stationed at Fort Knox, KY; one brother Charles of Monticello, Iowa; 10 grandchildren.

Body lay in state at the Lester Anderson Funeral Home from Wed. noon until today (Thursday), Sept. 15, when it was removed to the Radisson Free Church, where services were held at 2PM with Rev. Clarence Van Gilder officiating. Interment Radisson Cemetery.
