Robert Earl Gooch, 76, of Tiptonville, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on January 30, 1941, in Tiptonville, TN, to the late Clifford and Lillian Johnson Gooch.

He was retired owner of Channel 2-22. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville where he was a deacon and taught Sunday School. He worked as a volunteer in the prison ministry for over twenty years.

He was married to Joanne Thompson Gooch for fifty-five years who survives him.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Tiptonville conducted by Rev. John Troutman and Bro. Jonathan Gooch. Internment will be in Lake Memorial Gardens in Tiptonville. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 5-8pm on Wednesday.

Survivors include his daughter, Belinda Gooch Miller (Scott) and his two son Timothy Earl Gooch of Hermitage, Tn., Jonathan Lewis Gooch (Kwinn), of Gallatin, Tn. His is also survived by a sister Joyce Cisco, Union City, Tn. and a brother Rickey Gooch, of Gallatin, Tn. He has nine grandchildren, Miranda Jackson, Billy Loyd, Baleigh Goock, Bethany Gooch, LilyAnne Miller, Makinna Gooch, Jonathan Tate Gooch, Alivia Gooch and Yufei Liu.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Gooch, Shawn Gooch, Mike Webb, Mike Webb, Jeff Griffin, Larry Thompson and Thomas Pituch.

Honorary pallbearer will be David Gooch.
