Died at the Englewood Hospital in Chicago, Wednesday, 25 Sept 1907, Fred Laue aged 41 years, 4 months and 6 days. He was born in Germany 19 April 1866, and came to America with his parents in 1868. On Christmas Day. 1895, he was married to Miss Nellie Brown at Perdue. IL. To this union were born five children, two sons and three daughters, who survive him.

Mr. Laue has lived on a farm on the north side of the village of Roberts for seven years. He was an industrious farmer, a good neighbor and a kind husband and father, a man who was highly respected and one who will be sadly missed from the community. The funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Roberts, Saturday, 28 Sept, Rev W. R. Mine officiating, after which a large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place in Lyman cemetery, where the Modern Woodman, of which he was an honored member, performed their ritualistic ceremony.
