AGED WICHITAN DIES

Funeral services for William Eli Brooks, 92, who died Wednesday in a local hospital, will be conducted at 3:30 p. m. Friday at the Downing funeral home. Rev. W. E. McCoy will be in charge.

Mr. Brooks was a retired farmer, and made his home at 2314 East Pawnee Road. He was born in Marion, Ind., December 23, 1854, and was a member of Valley Center Masonic lodge No. 364, and Wichita Consistory.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. R. A. Busenbark, Roseburg, Ore., Mrs. Lena Sidles, 2314 East Pawnee, and Miss Sara Brooks, 1250 Jefferson; three sons, C. F. Brooks, 213 North Emporia, A. I. Brooks, Medford, Ore., and C. A. Brooks, 207 North Bleckley Drive; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One son, W. O. Brooks died in February, 1946. Buiral will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
