Theodore E. "Ted" Rosfeld, 75, died Wednesday, June 11 at District #1 Hospital in Caldwell.
Ted, as he was known by everyone, was born September 24, 1921, in Newton to John and Marie Cleaver Rosfeld. He is survived by one brother, Lawrence, of Newton.
Ted came to Caldwell in the spring of 1957 and went to work for Delbert Larson on his farm. He continued to work for Delbert for the remainder of his life. Through the last few years, his health would not permit him to be active on the farm, but he would still take frequent trips to the farm with Delbert.
It wasn't long before Ted became as knowledgeable as any farmer as to when to plant, when to sow and when to harvest the grain. Soon he earned the nickname of "the foreman."
Graveside services were held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Caldwell City Cemetery. Father Patrick Larkin officiated.
Honorary casket bearers were Richard Claypole, Tom Mitchell, Rod Lungren, Mick Eckermann, Harold Sturm, Troy Dierking, Don Patton, Paul Hess and Elbert Hedrick.
Memorial contributions can be made in Ted's name to the District #1 Hospital or to Hospice, Inc.
Elliott-Schaeffer Mortuary.
