Grady Velmer Brookin

Funeral services for Grady Velmer Brookin, 35, a resident of Merced from 1934 to 1945, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m.in the Hann Brothers Chapel. Rev. Donald H. Baldwin will officiate.

Mr. Brookin was electrocuted in a shop accident in Hugo, Okla., last Saturday.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Brookin of Hugo; son Herbert and daughter Shirley, also of Hugo; brothers, Garry of Ceres and H. O. of Merced; and sister Mrs. Gertha Zuercher of Merced.

Mr. Brookin served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1935-1937 and in the U. S. Army during World War 11. He was born in Safford, Arizona.
