Roscoe was born in Beaumont but was raised in Longview and lived there most of his life, until he enlisted in the Marines at the age of 18 years.
Upon arriving in Vietnam 30 June 1968 Roscoe was assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 27th
Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division. Delta Company was on a patrol when Roscoe died as a result of fragmentation wounds to the body from a hostile grenade.
Survived by his parents, Roscoe and Lula Mae Graham Adams and his two sisters, Laura and Rosalind Adams all of Longview, Texas.
