William D Lineham and Sarah Agnes Struthers were married 30 January 1884 in Atwood, Perth Co., Ontario.


Will followed his brother to Alberta about 1891 and was an early settler in the Okotoks area. He had a large ranch where he specialized in raising Shorthorn cattle. He was also talented at training horses and dogs.


After the death of his first wife Sarah, he married Mabel Emily Kinnear and they had at least 2 more children. Mabel was born 20 July 1881 in Toronto, Ontario and died 14 October 1963 in High River.


Obituary Calgary Herald 16 May 1927: William Donald Lineham, one of the best known old-timers of Alberta died at his home in Okotoks on Sunday morning following an illness of seven months' duration. He was 64 years of age and born at Elms, Perth Co., Ontario. He had resided in the Calgary and Okotoks districts for the past 39 years and was was highly respected by all whom he came in contact.

For many years he was associated with his brother. the late John Lineham MLA, in the lumber business in Okotoks. They established a mill there in the early days and floated the logs down Fish Creek from the mountains. The industry flourished well for many years but he later went into the cattle business.
