Mrs. Taylor was born January 23, 1911 in East Palestine to the late Elmer and Effie Kachner Bacon. She was a homemaker and had lived here all of her life.
She was a graduate of East Palestine High School and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. She served on the church council, Altar Guild, and taught Sunday School for many years. She was an active member of the Naomi Circle and sang in the choir. She had been a 4H advisor for 10 years.
She married Ernest E. "Red" Taylor on June 23, 1931 and to this union two children were born; Mrs. Constance Hill of East Palestine and Kenneth Taylor of Celina, OH. Her husband passed away June 11, 1983.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Williams and Dorothy Hammer, a brother, Herbert Bacon, and a granddaughter, Doreen Hill.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Donald Pentz officiating. Burial will follow in East Carmel Cemetery, Rogers.
Friends may call at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
