Pauline Dodd Wyatt, 69, of Asheville died Wednesday in an Asheville hospital after a short illness.

A native of Madison County and a resident of Buncombe County since 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Leona Parker Dodd.

Surviving are her husband, Fred Wyatt; two daughters, Emma Lee Edwards of Detroit and Billie Maxine Schalow of Hendersonville; three sons, Kermit and Charles Wyatt of Asheville and Roy Kenneth Wyatt of Weaverville; five sisters, Della Dodd of Swannanoa, Alice Waldroup of Weaverville, Julia Allen of Spruce Pine, Lorenia Crain of Laurens, S.C., and Christina Riddle of Asheville; 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of West Funeral Home, Weaverville. The Revs. Robert Harris, Mack Burgin and Eugene Dodd will officiate. Burial will be in West Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of Charles Wyatt.
