Robert "Red Dog" Kohr, 62, of New Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at home.
He attended Cedar Cliff High School, and Shippensburg University. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and a retired Ironworker from Local 404. He was a member of American Legion Post 974, and New Cumberland VFW Post 7415.
Surviving are 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews; 2 brothers, Danny Kohr of Mobile, AL and Ed Kohr of New Cumberland. He was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Frizzi Meyers, and a brother, Terry Kohr.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 1 p.m. in the Stone & Murray Funeral Home, New Cumberland, with the Reverend Carl Ford Peterson officiating. Following the service a reception will be held at 2 p.m., at the American Legion Post 143, 214 Market Street, New Cumberland. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to American Legion Post 143, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
