Foye Wilna Slade was born on February 11, 1902 in Boyd, Wise County, Texas, the daughter of Ernest Preston Slade and Dallie Mae Wilkinson.
Foye's first husband was Stephen Barr Huff, son of Nathan Harvey Huff and Mary Lucetta Whitten, on March 30, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
After her divorce from Mr. Huff, Foye married William Joseph (Bill) Lazarus, son of Cyrus Lazarus and Ida Marx of Hot Springs, AR on July 3, 1934.
She died December 28, 1989 at age 87 and was buried with Bill in the Slade family area at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
According to her great niece, "she was quite a "clothes horse" and was always dressed to the nines! In fact, her husband lovingly called her 'Horse'! She was a tiny lady, wore a size 4 - 4 1/2 shoe that had to be special ordered." Fortunately Bill was in the shoes business, so Foy always had plenty.
