wife of Isaac - age 83 yrs.Zerviah (Brown) Adams died on 20 Jul 1787 in Salisbury, Litchfield, Connecticut and was buried at Center Cemetery (aka the Old Burying Ground or Town Hall Cemetery due to its location behind the Town Hall). The stone was surveyed at this cemetery for the Hale Collection in the 1930's, however confusion over local place names and the names assigned to two of the Salisbury cemeteries on the Hale survey has led to misidentification of the location of this burial. The Hale survey lists both a "Town Hall Cemetery" and a "Town Hill Cemetery" in the Town of Salisbury. Town Hall Cemetery is called Center Cemetery on FindAGrave; another alternative name is the Old Burying Ground and the cemetery is located in back of the Salisbury Town Hall in the center of Salisbury Village. Town Hill is located in the Lakeville section of the Town of Salisbury, to the south of Salisbury Village. The apex of Town Hill is usually described as the "Four Corners" intersection of Interlaken Road that divides the Hotchkiss School campus. Town Hill Cemetery is located on the main campus to the northwest of the intersection.

The headstone for Zerviah was photographed and uploaded to FindAGrave in 2014 and 2017. The photos were added to the memorial in Town Hill Cemetery although the background images show the distinctive evergreens planted as a WWI memorial at the back of Center Cemetery off Factory Street.

The 5 Dec 1934 Hale survey of "Town Hall Cemetery" (#618-1, aka Center Cemetery or the Old Burying Ground behind the Town Hall in Salisbury) record the burials for four individuals with the surname Adams, all buried in close proximity to each other.

The earliest surveyed burial was for the family patriarch, Isaac Adams, who died on 26 Nov 1763. Isaac's death is also recorded on this date in the Salisbury Vital Record. Isaac's will, written in 1762 and probated at Sharon in the spring of 1764, includes mention of his wife Zerviah and his sons Jeremiah and Phinehas.

Zerviah Adams is listed next to her husband on the survey with a death date of 20 Jul 1787.

The Hale survey also lists Alice Adams, described as the daughter of Isaac and Zerviah, who died on 19 Mar 1769 at the age of 77, and John Adams, the son of Phinehas, who died 28 Aug 1784 at the age of 22.
