Alan Curtis Goodemoot, age 72, of Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully August 28, 2019 at his home. He was born May 21, 1947 to Ford and Lorraine (Curtis) Goodemoot. He graduated from Lakewood High School in 1965.
On December 27, 1972 he married Sharon Ann Healy. Alan was a lifelong farmer, and enjoyed time on the tractor. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, nieces, nephews and the rest of his family. He enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the church choir, and sharing what he knows about family genealogy.
Alan will be dearly missed by his son Dan (Cherith) Goodemoot, two granddaughters Mara and Daena, sisters Sharon (Ron) Brink, Jen Mulford, brother Von (Sharlene) Goodemoot, mother-in-law Dora Healy, sisters-in-law Bev (Bob) Cusack, Jan (Jack) Brake, Dawn (Mark) Linklater and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his wife Sharon, parents Ford and Lorraine, father-in-law Huron Healy, brother-in-law Bob Mulford and nephew Bob Mulford Jr.
Visitation will take place on September 3, 2019 from 10am until 11am at the Central United Methodist Church in Lake Odessa, MI. Funeral services will then begin at 11am with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa, MI.
Memorials are suggested to the Central United Methodist Church in Lake Odessa.
