VANKIRK - Near Marion, on Sunday morning, June 18th, after an illness of some months, MILTON VANKIRK, in the sixty-fourth year of his age.
He was born in New Jersey; lived nine years in the State of Indiana, and came to Iowa and settled in this county in 1847. He leaves a wife and children to mourn his death. His body was buried in the cemetery at Shiloh, followed by a large concourse of friends and neighbors attesting the esteem in which he was held.
