LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, December 2, 1982. p.4. 'Atlanta-- Mrs. Willa Crowley Alexander, a former Paris resident living in Atlanta, Tex., died Nov. 23 in Denton. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday in the Reeder-Davis chapel in Hughes Springs. Graveside services for Mrs. Alexander were at 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, with Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. Clyde Thomas of the Harris Chapel United Methodist church of Hughes Springs, officiated. She was born Nov. 17, 1905 in Marion County, a daughter of Era and Maggie Dorgan Johnson. She was first married to Bernard Crowley. After his death, she married James Alexander, who also preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Atlanta and was a retired elementary school teacher in both Atlanta and Hughes Springs. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.'
