John H. Zeigler, 27, born Newville, Pa., son of Samuel J. & Anna M. (Heminger (sic)) Zeigler, and Blanche C. Howe, 28, born Dows, Iowa, daughter of Frank C. & Mary Elizabeth (Spears) Howe, were married June 7, 1911 at Des Moines, Iowa. Both state this is their first marriage. Mrs. Blanche Howe Zeigler, 86. of 24 Buckingham Road, Gower Estates, widow of John H. Zeigler, died Tuesday.

A native of Dows, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lizzie Spears Howe. She had lived in Newville, Pa., before moving to Greenville. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bruce Buchanan of Greensville; and four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

The body will be sent to Shoop Funeral Home, Newville, Wednesday for funeral services and burial.

Local arrangements are by Thomas McAfee Funeral Home.

Mrs. Blanche Zeigler

Mrs. Blanche Zeigler, former resident of Newville and widow of John Zeigler, died Tuesday at Greenville Hospital, Greenville, S.C. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bruce Buchanon (sic) of Greenville; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.

The funeral service will take place Friday at 2 p.m. from the Shoop Funeral Home, 24 Big Spring Avenue, Newville, conducted by the Rev. John C. Pretz of Zion Lutheran Church in Newville, assisted by Robert L. Hoover, Jr. Burial will be in Newville Cemetery.
