John Jose D'Almeida, Wireman-journeyman for the Hawaiian Electric Co. died suddenly Tuesday morning in Hilo, where he had been visiting on leave according to word received by his employers. He was born October 16, 1905 and had been with the Hawaiian Electric since March 1930.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs Mary D'Almeida, a brother and 2 sisters in hilo and another sister , Mrs Sylvia Kalili of 732 19th ave, Honolulu.
Services are to be held at 4pm this afternoon at the Elmore Mortuary in Hilo.
John had been suffering from stomach carcinoma for over a year
