WILLIAM BUTLER

William D. (Dub) Butler, 69. of Gladwin, died Wednesday, April 14. 1993, In the Gratiot County Hospital in Alma after a short Illness. Born in Tulsa, Okla., on April 23. 1923, he moved to Gladwin County in 1968 from Flint. Mr. Butler served in World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from the Air Force. Mr. Butler was a member of the Gladwin County VFW Post 7303, the American Legion and the Nazarene Church. Mr. Butler and the former Louise Kennedy were married April 17, 1947, in Bay City. She preceded him in death in June 1983.

Surviving are one son, William III of Gladwin; 2 daughters, Mrs. Vern (Julie) Corlew and Mrs. Robert (Bekki) McDonald of Gladwin; one brother, Stanley of Tulsa, Okla.; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Sisson Funeral Home. The Rev. Jerry Wells officiated and burial was in the Butman Township Cemetery. Graveside services were by the VFW Post 7303. Gladwin County Record dated 4-21/1993 Column – 4 Page – 2.
