Levi Buffington was the carpenter who built the old Hoffmans Church, which is now called St. Peter's in Lykens. Levi's wife was a Hoffman woman. The church he built with his own hands burned down long ago, but the ruins are still visible. He and his wife, Susannah Hoffman, had seven sons and four daughters. Both Levi and his wife were the children of Revolutionary War soldiers.
Although Levi is buried at St. Peters, his specific gravesite there has not yet been determined. (information to be updated when possible).
