Herbert E. Berg, 81, of Stockton, passed away January 7, 2009 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1927 in Mobridge, S. Dakota. He was a certified welder with West Coast Machinery and also a machinist who built one of the 1st golf carts. Mr. Berg was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany after WWII.
He as the loving father of Doug Berg (Michelle) and Steve Berg, dear brother of Ruth Hill, Clarence Berg (the late Beverly), Donald Berg (Joyce), Albert Berg (Emma) as well as the late Harold Berg, Alvin Berg, Wilbur Berg and Dorothy Berg, and the devoted grandfather to Andrew Berg and Conner Berg.
Friends are invited to attend visitation Saturday, January 10, 2009, 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Alternative Burial & Cremation Services, 445 N. American St., Stockton, and to graveside services Monday, January 12, 2009, 10:30 a.m., at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine St., Lodi. Remembrances may be expressed to the Micke Grove Zoological Society.
