Bobby John Stevens, 24, died at 5:40 a.m. Thursday in Cardwell Hospital after
suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.
Surviving are the wife, Frances; a daughter; two sons; mother, Mrs. Elgie Simms, and stepfather, Emory Simms, of Peoria Ill.; grandmother, Mrs. Willie Stevens, Caldwell County; a sister, Mrs. John Cox, Evansville; half sister, Miss
Ernestine Stevens, Providence; three brothers, Jimmy, with the Air Force in
Korea, Dowell of Providence, and David Stevens, Detroit; and half-brother,
Thomas Akers, Peoria.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Melton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edward Carver officiating, assisted by the Rev. E.M. Skinner.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery.
