Arthur M. Fudge was born January 19, 1903 in Poweshiek County to William and Nellie (Van Gorp) Fudge.
He was a farmer and a butcher, and he also worked as a broker, handling property sales for others.
He was past master of Mahaska Masonic Lodge 335, AF and AM, past president of the New Sharon school board, a member of the Prairie Knolls Country Club and secretary of the Highland Park cemetery in New Sharon.
He married Gail Fisher on February 27, 1929 in Ottumwa, Iowa. They had three sons.
