Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. Hugh Spanel will officiate. Military rites will be provided at the church by Ord Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7029 and American Legion Post 38. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Belgram was born Sept. 17, 1919, at Marathon, Wis., to John and Lena (Sonnentag) Belgram.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Loretta; five daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Ron Bredthauer of Ord, Jacquelyn and Neal Sahling of Prosser, Jennifer and Dick Kieffe of Gretna, Renee and Bill Karre of Ord and Yvette and Terry Peltz of Alliance; a son, Richard Belgram of Ord; a brother, James Belgram of Merrill, Wis.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Eldora Seubert of Wausau, Wis., Erla and Leander Bauman of Gwinn, Mich., and Leona Sauter of Edgar, Wis.
Other survivors include 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Marvin was raised in Marathon, where he attended school, graduating in 1937.
On May 9, 1942, he married Loretta M. Wadzinski at Cassel, Wis.
Marvin served in the U.S. Army from July 1942 until November 1945. He was a Tech 4 Sergeant Radio Operator in the 95th Infantry Division in the European Theatre of Operations. Mr. Belgram's special military commendations include the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal and Honorable Service.
Marvin worked in the cheese business for more than 30 years. He operated his businesses in Edgar, Wis.; Garrison, N.D.; and Ord He also worked in sales and in construction. From 1978 to 1988, he and his wife, Loretta, operated the Chanticleer Drive Inn at Ord.
He was a member of VFW Post 7029, American Legion Post 38, Knights of Columbus, Ord Elks Lodge 2371, Moose Club and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Marvin enjoyed fishing, horses and dancing. He spent many hours tending to his ginseng garden.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marie Belgram; and three sisters, Loretta Krueger, Mamie Green and Elnora Muelbech.
