Funeral services for Carroll H. Oldaker will be held at 10:00am, Friday, July 23, 2010 at the West Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David Prell of Blodgett St. Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the old section of Hobbs Cemetery, Hobbs, NM at 2 p.m. Mr. Oldaker, 54, of Farris Street, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at home. Carroll Hubert Oldaker was born in Hobbs NM, on May 15, 1956 to George and Edna "Mobley" Oldaker. To his friends and family Carroll was known as "Mr. Fix-it". There wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Carroll's interests and loves were many and varied. Carroll enjoyed drawing, especially cartoons. He loved the outdoors, whether it be fishing or just shooting his pistol, and watching football, regardless of the teams playing, but his passion was spending time with his family and family gatherings. Carroll was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Hobbs He is preceded in death by his father, and infant son Jeff Ray Oldaker. He is survived by his son Shaun and wife Tina Oldaker of Carlsbad, mother; Edna Oldaker of Carlsbad, Sister Helen Anderson of Portales, NM, brothers; Eddie and Gade Oldaker of Casper WY, Roger Oldaker of Carlsbad and Allen Oldaker, grand-children Heather, RayLyn, Cameron,of Wink, Tx.and Amy and Michael Oldaker of Carlsbad, NM.He will be loved and missed always and forever. Pallbearers will be; Shaun Oldaker, Roger Oldaker, Gade Oldaker, Bobby Anderson, Floyd Underwood. Honorary Pallbearer, Eddie Oldaker.
