Mary Goyen was born October 30, 1872 at Garden Grove IA. She married James McHaney at Pratt KS. They came to Oklahoma in 1893. He was a Horse trader and did hauling for other people. They lived on a farm. He went to Kansas to try to get work about 1910. Mary and the children remained on the farm. They had three boys and four girls. Mary died June 19, 1941 in Woodward County OK. She is buried in the Richmond Cemetery.
