~Emeline Babcock was my GG-Grandmother~
My gg-grandmother Emeline was the daughter of Nicholas Wiley and Maria Bell Wiley. She was probably born in Spring Valley, NY about 1833 or 1834 and was the 6th of 9 children born to Nicholas and Maria. Emeline was the first wife of my gg-grandfather John Jacob Babcock. John Jacob and Emeline married sometime between 1853-1854, I believe in Rockland County, New York. Emeline and John Jacob had three children, Laura A., Frank and Jennie A. Babcock. The only thing I have been able to find on Emeline is that she died sometime between 1860-1865, I am quite sure in Rockland County, New York.
