Laree M. Fosnow, 84, of Windsor, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at her home in Windsor.
She was born December 18, 1924, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of Louis Charles Swisher and Veva Rae (Inglish) Swisher. On January 30, 1943, in Chilhowee, Mo., she married John Fosnow, Jr., who preceded her in death. They were the parents of 9 children.
Laree was a civil service employee for the United States government at Whiteman Air Force Base for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor. She worked very hard raising her children and her family was the most important thing to her.
Survivors include 6 sons, Larry G. Fosnow and his wife Mary Ann, Windsor, Mo.; Bob Fosnow and his wife Connie, Windsor, Mo.; Bill Fosnow and his wife Gloria, Windsor, Mo.; Rick Fosnow and his wife Diane, Windsor, Mo.; Russ Fosnow and his wife Alice, Windsor, Mo.; Randy Fosnow and his wife Cindy, Sedalia, Mo.; 3 daughters, Marilyn White and her husband Gary, Calhoun, Mo.; Linda Alcorn and her husband Norman, Sedalia, Mo.; Carol Sawyer and her husband Don, Sedalia, Mo.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffery Fosnow; and a sister, Lureta Faye Swisher.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 20, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Doug Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association , in care of the funeral home.
