He entered active service with the U.S. Army on February 3, 1941 at Ft. Benning, Georgia.
He was originally from Brookings, South Dakota.
His last place of residence was in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on July 15, 1985.
