West Point - August 6th
This morning at 6 o'clock occurred the death of D. L. Wolfe after a long illness of dropsy. The deceased was born in St. Louis February 8, 1840 where he grew to manhood and when the war broke out between the north and south he joined the Confederate ranks. At the close of the rebellion he came to West Point where he has ever since resided. A sister, Mrs. Laura Atwell of Chicago, two sons, Will of New York and George, and four daughters, Mrs. Wm. Mason of Omaha, Mrs. Clyde Yeager of Fort Madison and Misses Addie and Elsie are left to mourn their loss. The funeral services will be held at the house Thursday at 10 a.m. and the following Grand Army men will act as pallbearers: George W Armour, Sr., Henry Goebel, Sr., Chris. Metzger, Homer Hall, Dan Brown and Henry Van Hyning.
