Allen Brooks O'Steen, 76, Covington, La., died Dec. 31, 1997 in Mandeville, La. He was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was a former resident of St. Augustine.
He was a retired civilian engineer for the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a former member of Ancient City Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Norma Jean Fermite, Fairfield, Ga., and Molly Blenky, Sierra Madre, Calif.; three sisters, Lillian Backer, Covington, La., Norma Keith, Arlington, Va., and Carolyn Jean Copeland Metairie, La.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Frank Northcutt officiating. Craig Funeral Home is in charge.
