Born on Bucks Prairie, Olive married John G. Lawson in 1959. She and John were both life members of Tacoma Chapter 126 O.E.S. Olive had been a cook in restaurants, but an injury prevented further culinary employment. She owned a dog grooming business, La Petite Poodle Salon, for many years. She died of emphysema and her ashes were released in the Pacific Ocean off Roosevelt Beach, her favorite clam digging site. She was survived by her husband of 42 years and a son, Timothy Hansen, and Daughter-in-Law, Karen, of Olney, MD and two grandsons. Geoff and Scott, as well as a surviving sister, Sharon Frackenpohl and two nephews and two nieces. Steve Leeson gave the eulogy and family members gave rememberances as they released floral offerings onto the outgoing tide.
