Also surviving are one daughter, Ann (and Jerry) Duke of Coral Springs, Fla.; two sons, Jim (and Bonnie) of Morton and John (and Rhonda) of Woodstock, Ga.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
A World War II Army veteran, he was awarded the Bronze Star.
He worked in toll terminal maintenance at Illinois Bell Telephone for 41 years.
He attended the University of Illinois, where he was a member of Phi Kappa.
