"Mollie" was the oldest child of William M. Edson and Malita Reeves. Mollie's father died when she was very young. Her mother married Henry Jackson in 1865 and Alexander Gardner in 1867.

Mollie married Jason Howard Geeding on 12 Dec 1877 in Calhoun County, Illinois. He worked as a farm laborer, and she was a dressmaker. They were the parents of 2 children.

Around 1890, Mollie and Jason moved their family from Beechville in Calhoun County to Batchtown. They bought 2 acres of land from his brother-in-law, Judge Andrew Cook Wilson, and Jason built a home there for the Geeding family.

Mollie and Jason's older daughter died in 1898 when she was about 18-years-old. Their younger daughter was a school teacher for 2 years before her 1906 marriage to George B. Ellermeier. She died in 1908, less than a year-and-a-half after her marriage.

Mollie and Jason continued to live in their Batchtown home for many years after the loss of their children. Mollie died there in 1932.

At the time of her death, Mollie was 74 years, 4 months and 4 days old. She was survived by her husband, Jason, and was buried next to her daughters on 07 Dec 1932.

Jason died in 1933 and was buried next to Mollie and the girls.

Children: 2 daughters.
