The NYS Battle Flag Collection includes one flag carried by the 19th Independent Battery, a silk, swallowtail guidon in the "stars and stripes" pattern prescribed in General Order No. 4, dated January 18, 1862. The canton includes 34 gold painted stars in the typical, two-concentric circles, additional star in each corner, pattern. The canton also includes a blue silk ribbon with the unit's designation and the IX Corps insignia device. Seven battle honors are painted in blue to the stripes.
