Died.
Elliott Barton, of Roper, died Saturday morning of consumption. He was 67 years of age and has been a sufferer of that disease for some time. Rev. Stranahan, of this place, preached the funeral Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Roper Methodist church, and the remains were buried in Maple Grove cemetery. Mr. Barton leaves a wife and several children. Mrs. Barton is a sister to Arthur Sale, of that vicinity.
